Injuries

Injuries in Powerlifting are inevitable. At some point or another we will all have to take the bench and recover from some sort of mishap. I got injured mid-December with a bulging disc and am still sitting out due to it. Being injured for over 6 months has really taught me some things. Though I have battled many demons watching my competition post big numbers, I know this is something I needed. I was starting to hit a wall I felt, but this injury has really lit a fire in me to come back and destroy all my competition like I had originally planned. In my mind, I have become ever stronger. All I do is drill form with clients and am constantly visualizing these lifts and movements. I have become a better coach. Taking a step back and accepting that you are really injured and need to sit out really can be a good thing. We can’t go 100% all the time. Access your situation and use it for growth.
